The most impressive flair of completely worthless coding on this website is how if you click the like button there’s an animation of a heart rising from it, and if you manage to click THAT heart it unlikes the post. No one would ever attempt this maneuver on purpose. I have done it by mistake 5000 times because the rising heart floats directly above the button to expand the tags on a post when I’m on my phone. …Actually, I have yet to catch the broken heart animation that falls down when you slaughter the rising heart. Would… Would that re-like the post…?
Many brave scientists in the notes have now confirmed it DOES re-like the post! Most of them have also politely apologized for spamming me with notifications by testing it, which is how I learned that if you like and unlike the same post twenty times op still only gets one notification tops on the current activity page. :( I want to see the same name fifty times in a row and know they’re doing science. :( (For the record this seems to be the same whether you have notes bundled or not.)

I will never get tired of how funny it is when people respond to the posts they don’t like by turning it into blackout poetry. What sheer fucking splendour, grabbing something you loathe and then turning it into art as an expression of your utter disrespect and disregard of this person’s stupid-ass opinions. It’s not simply contempt, but an elaborate display of how little it matters to you.
What a way to show that you find this person so beneath your respect that you won’t argue their stupid opinions, you won’t even gracefully ignore them like you would politely and tactfully turn a blind eye to the embarrassing mishaps of some fool who doesn’t know better. No, you choose to turn it into a plaything, making it your arts and crafts material.
The hilarious indignity of having someone pick up something you thought were bold and fine statements, the pinnacle of truth, and saying “this block of stupid text is as worthless as a rock, but allow me to carve it into art, so that it could perhaps be turned into something that possesses worth and beauty.”

Trying to find an old post we searched the word ‘blood’, which caused Tumblr to deploy a therapy bot that said it can’t provide qualified support and instead tried to put us in a groupchat with a bunch of other people who had searched for blood so we could work through our feelings
