Oh my god I have instantly accepted Rowan’s explanation for the New Trek films: they exist in the original Trek universe as TV movies! They take huge liberties with the science, characterisation and basic facts (look out the window: is Vulcan still there? Yes!) but sadly for Kirk this shitty Lifetime cable channel is obsessed with him and won’t stop churning them out.

At the end of the third movie, the perspective will change to Will and Deanna watching it on a padd. Troi will be online, giving it a terrible review.

How Old Are Your Ears, A Hearing Test by AsapScience

Shit.

Whelp, I can’t hear the 40 year old one.  I’m 36, and my ears are 50.  awesome. At least now i know I’m not imagining that my ears are bad, they actually are bad.

I can hear ‘under 30’ but not anything after that.

I’m 23 and I can’t hear the ‘under 40’ one (or any of the ones after that)

And the ‘under 50’ one I honestly don’t know if I heard that more or…… like felt it more so….

my ears kinda suck but I knew this already.

Well, is it *you* that can’t hear it, or your headphones? I only got as far as 12000 Hz, and I’m pretty sure I have good hearing. I think that’s just what I get for buying the $15 earbuds at Walmart.
