Because being incredibly vague has made it hard talk about stuff + not prevented anyone with the knowhow from finding out where I live, I’m tempted to talk more about my hometown and refer to it as [Expunged] instead of its name, a la @sinesalvatorem and [Redacted].
I’m thinking of using [Expunged] so it’s obvious what I’m referencing, without the confusion of there being two [Redacted]s. Though the confusion potential is kind of tempting, especially as it would make anyone not in the know think [Redacted] is simultaneously:
- Caribbean
- Australian
- Tropical
- Temperate
- Full of deadly mosquitoes
- Full of deadly mushrooms
- Very homophobic
- Tried to illegally legalise same sex marriage
This would actually be hilarious, though
Besides, I stole the use of “[Redacted]” from @ilzolende, who used it to refer to her high school. It fit her aesthetic better than mine, anyway. In the early days, I was concerned people might think I was also talking about her school and the [Redacted] Unified School District.
Except then “[Redacted]” wound up being more strongly associated with me, for some reason, so here we are.
[Redacted] is a homophobic high school on the border between Australia and the Carribean, temperate and full of deadly tropics, that tried to illegally legalise same-sex marriage between mushrooms and mosquitoes.
