Can you imagine if they played the DS9 theme in the place of the Federation anthem in “Take Me Out To The Holosuite”? Just no explanation, no winking at the camera, just played it with their hands over their hearts.
The Niners would understand.
I was literally just getting my hard drive out to mess with some clips and make this happen, and then I remembered that the DS9 theme was actually the piece of Bajoran classical music from Sanctuary (or at least the two were incredibly similar.)
But to be fair I could totally see the crew adopting a beloved piece of Bajoran music as the station’s unofficial anthem.
