I flipped a coin. It landed on its edge. The narrator of my “4 cc of mouse blood” tag apparently prefers the pronoun “they.”

the actual best explanation for this is that they (the narrator) exist in an alternate reality and made an avocado smoothie that can bend probability in other dimensions in order to make sure you got their pronouns right

The best explanation is “I blatantly cheated using duct tape, a screwdriver, an iron, and a copy of The Mysteries of Sherlock Holmes,” but yours makes more sense.

A stately pleasure-dome decreed.
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

# Do I need a ‘anything that makes Brin laugh this much deserves a reblog’ tag? # Probably not but I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve asked myself that (comparativelysuperlative)

So, what happens if you make me laugh by saying this?

#reply via reblog #anything that makes me laugh this much deserves a reblog #I’m glad I instituted that policy #it helps make my blog the kind of place I want it to be #and it’s always good to have a URL handy where I know the contents are things that will cheer me up #(and similarly a URL I can give to people asking for links to cheer *them* up) #(I used to have trouble finding things for such requests) #(because my bookmarks didn’t distinguish things I liked because they were funny from things I liked for other reasons) #it’s good to see confirmation that other people like it too #(…I make my reasoning sound kind of sad when I put it like that) #(mostly I decided to do this because I wanted to share my laughter with my followers rather than just liking stuff)

Fighter: Let me guess, we perform a dread sacrificial ritual to the Dark Lord?

Bard: Don’t be ridiculous, we perform a dark ritualistic sacrifice to the Dread Lord, TOTALLY DIFFERENT!

I was at a Presbyterian church today (PCA, not PCUSA), and NONE of the hymns were in common meter. Not one. Until the end. The last song was this one, so I had to restrain myself from shouting “CLOSE ENOUGH! Praise the tyrannosaur!”

Is this post a joke lmao fuck off op

y i k e s, not even touching this one

Wow. I just don’t even know where to start with this morally abhorrent train wreck of a post. Did nobody bother to tell the OP that of US home sales this January, forty fucking percent were cash sales? Pull your head out of your ass and at least get your facts straight before you spew this kind of bullshit.

It’s wrong. It’s wronger than wrong. And, somehow, it’s simultaneously not even wrong. I once considered trying to see how many distinct varieties of falsity I could cram into a single sentence, but no more. My best efforts to date have been left completely in the dust by your first. five. words. Every statement in that post attains a level of stupidity matched only by the next one. You have made every mistake along every axis that I can think of bar two: you did not screw up the use-mention distinction, and you correctly spelled the word “if.” In every other arena, you have made every error of logic, morality, and sports history that I or anyone else has ever had the misfortune to read. I can confidently say that you have made blunders which had never before been conceived of by a rational mind and still haven’t. I am legitimately impressed that anyone so absolutely misguided managed to retain the ability to so much as blither.

And chocolate is better than vanilla.
