A little gem from the ever educational Wall Street Journal
I am ashamed by how much trouble I had with this.
I didn’t have any trouble, but only because I ignored the actual faces. I have more than enough Tumblr fandom osmosis to match these names with their costumes.
(That’s assuming the face next to each name is the face associated with that name, though, which I suppose might not be true.)

#Star Trek #DS9 #I think I actually remember what the original line was #(‘no release no *escape*’)
The radio slips, sometimes, into a language Carlos doesn’t speak.
He tells himself he doesn’t speak it, anyway, and… well, it’s true enough. He couldn’t translate into this language. He doesn’t even know what it’s called. And the understanding that filters into his mind sometimes—more and more, lately—it’s just his imagination.
“A new man came into town today,” and that’s the last English Carlos hears for several minutes. He tells himself that the warm sense of being flattered, the words perfect and beautiful echoing in his mind, are nothing. His imagination.
After all, the segment ends—in English, again—with the darkly threatening, No one does a slice like Big Rico’s. No one. Surely there’s no room for flattery between those lines.

I only uncontrollably lit 5 buildings on fire! It could have been 17 like last time! I’m getting better!

Hello, Trekkies of Tumblr!
Do you enjoy Deep Space Nine? Do you enjoy watching TV with your friends and talking about the episode together? Do you enjoy how the Internet allows people to easily gather together and chat about the stuff they like, even when they’re on different continents and have never met in person?
If so, you might be interested in DS9 Rewatch. We’re a LiveJournal community dedicated to…well, rewatching DS9. Each week, we meet in our chatroom to watch an episode of DS9 together, working our way through the series in order. We hold three rewatches per week (see our schedule here), so if you miss one you still have a chance to watch that episode with us.
We’ve been around for over three and a half years, and in about a month we’ll be starting our second run-through of the series. In the meantime, we’re watching our way through a list one of our rewatchers made of “episodes that are just fun”, and you’re welcome to stop by for one of those.
So, come watch with us. Have fun. Make friends. Have your life changed for the better. (Mine certainly was.)
~Brin, head moderator of DS9 Rewatch
Addendum Nov 9th ‘14: For anyone who sees the OP after this, I thought you should know that we have a Tumblr now.
