On a related note: is it just me, or were you reblogging a lot of artwork of people falling asleep in each other’s arms during the weekend where you were extremely sleep-deprived?
I noticed this at the time, and my top two hypotheses were “it’s just me” and “this fandom has a lot of sleepy cuddling fanart for some reason”. But you’ve been reblogging a lot less of it the last couple of days (and have also been complaining of sleep deprivation a lot less), which makes me wonder if it’s you.

My secret is I can’t drive for medical reasons and get around mostly by walking (and anywhere I can get to in less than an hour counts as “within walking distance”), so I stumble upon a lot of stuff that might not catch your eye driving past at 55 kilometres per hour.
(Also, I’m the sort of person who sees an unmarked door or poorly maintained hallway that everybody else seems to be ignoring and thinks “well, it doesn’t specifically say it’s not open to the public”, which I fully realise is probably going to get me killed one of these days.)

@sinesalvatorem pinged me on this, but Tumblr refused to display the parts of the thread above hers (not only on the dash, but on her blog and on the reblogging screen as well).
I debated for a bit whether to reblog directly from her or go back one link in the reblog chain and use that. On the one hand, I think the humour was enhanced by not knowing what the post was right away (so that I wondered “what did she ping me on?” and going back a link and seeing the original thread acted as a punchline). On the other hand, a deactivation here and a name-change there and people who come across this later on might not be able to find that punchline. In the end, preservation concerns won out.
Anyway, thank you, Alison! I’m glad you thought of me.
(Also, they do seem to be grasping at the same distinction we were, don’t they.)
