I saw one of my local gyms was trying to get an all eeveelutions gym, so I’m like ‘cool’ and toss my Umbreon in, but when I went to check on the gym later to see if someone added the Flareon and Eevee we needed I saw this

You either have to deal with it or adopt colourless neopronouns. If your language doesn’t have an established colour-neutral pronoun, the constructed ones will probably be clunky and unnatural.
But even if I were writing to a monolingual audience, the core of my point wouldn’t be “don’t use coloured pronouns”. They’re a problem, but the problem isn’t one that’s fixed merely by adopting orthodox language. It takes some mindfulness to notice yourself rounding someone off to an instance of their caste, and to bring to mind other, unrelated things about them – but that’s really the core of it, the central tendency of what I miss in social justice.

Like Phoenix Jones who actually patrol the streets and challenge criminals, the police usually get called, and they watch as Phoenix Jones pummels them because Phoenix Jones is actually an MMA fighter.
Apparently for about three years he had an actual superhero team of people with military, medical and martial artist backgrounds he personally trained and equipped, but eventually disbanded. He didn’t give specifics, but said that some of them were “the wrong kind of people” and were too dangerous. There are really for real things that happened.
Also someone tried to be an “arch nemesis” to him named Rex Velvet, some nerd wearing an eyepatch and a fake mustache who didn’t hurt anybody but made surprisingly polished, melodramatic and goofy callout videos from an abandoned warehouse and presumably pulled some annoying pranks.
