More people pronounce .gif with a hard G sound?  That just seems odd to me but I suppose different thought processes are different /tautology/

PS, after reading the link: if they wanted PNG to have an unambiguous pronunciation, they should a: have found an excuse to put an “i” in there, and b: not made it reminiscent of “OMG”. Because according to my brain, the obvious pronunciation is “poh-nye-gahd”.
