Let’s see…100 lair spaces – 21 empty spaces – 13 permanents = 66 adult fodder. (Most bought for 10k, managed to snag a few more the following day for 15k. Dragons growing up on Saturday got rapidly hard to come by on Thursday as people started to prepare in earnest: I’m glad I timed most of my first batch of flipped fodder to grow up on Wednesday.)

I’ll probably wait a few more hours to see if the prices get even more ridiculous than the 24.5k of ridiculous they already are.

Dude, Light vs Plague is just crazy. It’s only Tuesday and the cheapest adult dragons on the AH are at 18,000 treasure (for comparison, a normal week they’re more like 8,000.) And the buy thread payouts are keeping up with that – last I checked they were at 21k treasure for a level 6 (which would normally bring 10k treasure from exalting).

*goes back to leveling dragons*

*looks at ~80 hatchlings in lair, mostly 5-day-olds bought for 10k, some 4-day-olds bought for 8k*

*licks lips*

(There’s no way I’m going to be able to train 80 dragons in a reasonable timeframe, so I’ll probably just sell them as level 1s. Might keep the ones with exalt bonuses to train myself, haven’t decided yet.)

So the Rockbreaker’s Ceremony pre-festival push and raffle is starting up this Sunday, aaand I may have just volunteered as a dragon acceptor.

Eh, I was planning to spend the week in coli anyway. I’ll just be getting my fodder through CRs instead of from the AH. :D I’ll have to practice taking care of myself and being willing to knock off work at reasonable hours even if nobody else is online to take over, though… that should be interesting. ;P

(So, y’know, if you were planning to participate in the Rockbreaker’s raffle, consider throwing dragons at me starting Sunday… ^_^)

I was actually leaning towards not participating in the dom raffle (well, the dragon part; if they have daily trivia I’ll do that), because I defected during the last Lightning profit push and felt bad about it even though I had official permission (they said that since it was “about profit, not placement”, it was okay to exploit Nature’s ridiculous payouts instead of exalting ourselves). We got second place that week because of the efforts of people who ignored or didn’t hear that permission, and I felt like I was parasitising them. Lightning is going for bolstering next week, and I intend to Do My Part.

Perhaps I’ll send you one dragon for luck. I’ve heard OOF raffle accepting can get a bit overwhelming, so yes, please do take care of yourself.

*nodnod* I definitely get that. (One reason I switched to Earth, actually; in bigger flights I feel like such deadweight if I’m not exalting practically 24/7 any week we push.) Have fun, and I hope you do get bolstering! Are y’all pushing against anyone for second, do you know yet?

I haven’t heard anything about others. We’ll see.

*hissing growling noises* I need to retincture my Harpy’s Roost farmers, since it’s been bumped upward to a lvl 22 venue and we can no longer one-shot everything in there with 129str. So I’m fidgeting around waiting on the people who understand these things to figure out what the new numbers are for farming and exalting there… :P

–they didn’t even give it a proper news post? Just a bunch of stuff in the minor-notice section? I mean, I knew this was coming, I knew we were going to have to re-min-max, but I expected it to a: take longer (since when are they this fast?) and b: get an actual post like the Mire nerf revamp.

*shrugs, goes back to using re-min-maxed Mire trainer to stockpile L5s for Battle of the Bay*

(Plus the new Swipp familiars need rocks from Crystal Pools and scarabs from Sandswept Delta, so really I can afford to wait a little while for the resident coli experts to work out the optimum strategy. I’ve got other things I want to do in the meanwhile anyway.)

Indeed. ^_^ I’ve been kind of mulling over trying this as a challenge for a while, but I wasn’t sure if all the venues dropped eggs, and then I ran across a thread on FR that mentioned the Arena doesn’t but the rest do. So. :D

Oh, it also looks like either Crystal Pools doesn’t drop eggs or it hasn’t been around long enough for anybody to confirm that it does. So I might skip that one. Unless new data comes up before I get there. ^_^ Which it very well might.

Well, would you look at that timing:

“Once the rare drop item release for Crystal Pools comes out, we’ll be updating the loot table to also include eggs and battle stones.”

In other words, Crystal Pools currently does not drop eggs.

I think my next “big” FR project is gonna be saving up all the treasure for my remaining expansions to Ancient Lair by Thundercrack. (The first-place dom discount isn’t huge, it’s only 5%, but that’s still gonna save me 143,750 treasure overall. ^_^ ‘Sides, I like the idea of celebrating Thundercrack by moving to the Tempest Spire.) Little under 2.75 million – I can farm that in a week or ten days if I push, I’m tired of pushing, so I’m gonna take it slow. Hardest part’ll be not spending it all on dragon hats. XD

God, I wish RL had something like that where you work hard and get a slow but steady guaranteed income. I would be so rich, y’all. ;S I got no problem with grinding, it’s the part where I can’t reliably grind enough RL money to feed myself the calories I expend while grinding that discourages me.

Well, there’s Swagbucks. Nowhere near enough to live off of, and you have to take their “Special Offers” section with tons of salt (last I checked they don’t vet their third-party offer suppliers nearly well enough and pretty much all of the non-survey non-video ones look an awful lot like virusbait), but a reasonably diligent Canadian can get USD$25 a month in Paypal, which is $25 they wouldn’t have had otherwise. I hear it’s more if you’re American (they get earning options that other countries don’t), and much more if you either have more data in your Internet plan than you normally use or spend a lot of time in places with free Wi-Fi (so you can run their ad videos without spending more in overage fees than you get in payment). (My family routinely maxes out our Internet plan as it is, and I only spend maybe 10 – 30 minutes a week in public hotspots, so I’ve never been able to do those properly.)

(I used to be a reasonably diligent Canadian, but I haven’t really been on since November, after I paid for nearly half of this laptop ($130) using the Paypal balance I got from them. Maybe I should go back.)
