eoin colfer really created the greatest most entertaining protagonist of all time. he just said, i’m gonna have my main character be an eleven year old irish boy who’s the head of a criminal empire, he can’t run more than a hundred meters without breaking out into a sweat, and he finds the thought of wearing jeans and a t-shirt so repulsive his mom has to force him to wear them. oh what’s he gonna do? well. see he needs to make money because he’s a millionaire and not a billionaire like he wants to be? so. naturally, he’s going to steal gold from leprechauns. by kidnapping an elven police officer. like AHHH HIS MIND
