At one point in time I could enjoy silence. I found nothing but beauty in sunbeam dust. People repeating my words was just an irritant. I did not question ticking clocks and I could look away from angel statues without fear. I didn’t get out of reach of mannequins, and I did not freak when I forgot what I was doing. Captivity did not used to have musical meaning, and not everything deserved to be given a chance. There was a time when I was indifferent to bow ties, and a time when I did not look up at the stars and listen, hoping to hear the sound of a beautiful blue box.

Dammit, self, it’s bedtime, not listen to Still Got Legs time.

…fine, one song.

Moss graffiti – mix yogurt, water and live moss in a blender, then paint onto a wall. Moss will grow in the shape of whatever you painted. Just remember to spritz it with water every once in a while to keep it alive.

I want to do this.

I’m putting this here so that later, once the snow’s melted, I’ll look back at my blog archive and think Oh yeah, I should try that!.

Five days until Doctor Who’s “The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe.” Oh yeah, and Christmas.

ensignabby:

Oh yeah, Christmas.

(Seriously though, it took until I was maybe eleven to remember from year to year whether the 25th was Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. This is what happens when you have little reason to care. Happy Hanukkah, everybody!)
