I am so glad someone made this cuz I’ve always wondered how the movement of the solar system might look as a whole….

BUT LOOK HOW EPIC THE SOLAR SYSTEM IS GUYS

PEOPLE DON’T BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY WE’RE NEVER IN THE SAME PLACE ONCE.

I WASN’T FUCKING KIDDING.

Dairine’s frame of reference suddenly became huger than the whole Earth and the space that contained it, so that her planet seemed only one moving, whirling point plunging along its path through a terrible complexity of forces, among which gravity was a puny local thing and not to be regarded. …Earth spins at seventeen thousand miles an hour, plows along its orbital path at a hundred seventy-five thousand; and the Sun takes it and the whole Solar System off toward the constellation Hercules at a hundred fifteen thousand miles an hour. Then the Sun’s motion as one of innumerable stars in the Sagittarius Arm of the Galaxy sweeps it along at some two million miles an hour, and all the while relationships between individual stars, and those of stars to their planets, shift and change.

It all meant that any one person standing still on any planet was in fact traveling a crazed, corkscrewing path through space, at high speed: and the disorientation and sickness [of personal worldgating travel] were apparently the cause of suddenly, and for the first time, going in a straight line, in a universe where space itself and everything in it is curved….

(High Wizardry, 1990)

Oh right, it’s that thing that people were tearing apart recently.

It is pretty, I must admit.

And this is why you rock, kind Sir!

I do my best, miss!

You are full of untruths! I do not use Missing E, and I am able to comment, as I am doing so now! I think that you have to be following someone for a certain amount of time before the bubble shows up. 8)

…even if I am apparently a liar :D

I never got the bubbles AT ALL until I downloaded Missing E, though.

TUMBLR WHY U SO CONFUSING.

I’ve never used any of the “fix Tumblr” extensions and I get the bubbles apparently randomly, on some posts but not others. I believe the official explanation is you have to have been following the OP (not just a reblogger) for two weeks, and you still only get it on certain types of post? Or something like that?

TUMBLR!!!! *Barrowman fistshake*

As I understand it, replies go like this:

If the blogger has “from people following you for two weeks” turned on, you can reply to non-reblogs after two weeks.

If they have “from people you follow” turned on, you can reply to non-reblogs if you both follow each other.

If they have neither turned on (which they may or may not have done on purpose), you cannot reply at all.

(Said buttons are located under Settings, specifically the [insert your blog’s title here] tab on the left sidebar.)

Watched “Ferengi Love Songs” (lol, Brunt’s in the closet), and my brother requested a picture of Quark as a kid, playing with his Marauder Mo action figures. Oh, wee!Quark – the resale value on those things is going to be nil if you insist on denting them with Rom’s head.

Kitchener-Waterloo, ON – home to BlackBerryuWaterloo and the church my wife and I got married in.

Hey look, it’s a picture of me! (And about half a million other people.)

(This picture was taken during the day, so no matter how much you zoomed in you would not see me in my backyard, looking up and waving. Evening, now, that’s another matter.)
