We Are Magneton: Oh god(s), the Tumblr set-up CAPTCHA wants me to say I’m human.

I hate when CAPTCHAs do that. Yeah, it’s such a small thing, but the smallness makes it easy to fix.

I don’t care if you’re human or not. I just want to make goddamn sure you’re not a sentient robot or something.

…you’re NOT are you?…

I did watch a lot of Voyager when I was younger, but ‘round about age thirteen (so maybe four years ago*) I started becoming more aware of plotholes and stuff. It’s still good fun if you don’t scrutinise it too much, but I don’t watch it as much as I used to.

I appear to be ace, at least for the moment. I don’t think DS9 and VOY have much different levels of aesthetic beauty in the cast**, but it’s not that big a deal for me anyway. (You want aesthetics, just skip Star Trek entirely and go watch some Tenth Doctor.)

I’ve never watched Enterprise. I remember seeing a commercial for it once and asking Mom why we didn’t watch it. I don’t remember how she phrased “Because it sucks”, but I think that was the gist.

*It seems like most of the Tumblr people I see (at least the ones with ages in their bios) are seventeen. Weird.

**Plus I can’t stare enviously at Odo with Voyager.

This is my sister. She watches too many sci-fi movies for her own good. —Tom

As long as I’m a sentient non-evil robot, I don’t see why you should have a problem with that.

(Really I’m neither species. I cannot draw, so this is the point where I link to a picture of a Changeling and say “kinda like that, but with less hair gel”. (I’m not actually a Changeling, I just happen to resemble them. Thank god(s) for Deep Space Nine, else I’d have no pictures. Which reminds me, it’s almost Deep-Space-Nine-watching time. *wanders off to fandom-land*))

Hang on, two weeks? I only just made a Tumblr account six days ago. Is that it?

No, that can’t be it. The option makes it sound like after two weeks, the reply button gets turned OFF. (Which is weird.) Anyway, it doesn’t matter, ‘cause I have both of those selected.

That’s… really weird. There’s not a reply button on the posts when you look at your dash?

I don’t see any reply button on the dashboard version. I found a screenshot during my (otherwise fruitless) attempt to use The Power of Google™, and the reply button was quite obvious in the picture. Unless they’ve changed the layout since then, but none of the other buttons I can find seem right either.

*looks at dash again, sees gzer0x’s post*

Ah, so it is because I’m new. Okay. I can wait eight days.

Da fuq tumblr that makes no sense. :/

UNTIL THEN shall we converse in reblogs? :D

I’ve heard Tumblr does a lot of non-sense-making things. At least now we understand the specific way in which this doesn’t make sense and can de-confuse any other newbies who come along.
